This is an extremely tough mission than hinges on you saving the AT-PTs from Tie Bombers.

The escaping AT-PTs can be found if you head in a straight line from your starting position. On your way you should take the time to destroy the stormtroopers that you pass and any mobile gun turrets. When you arrive at the AT-PTs use your tow cable to bring down the AT-AT. On your way to lining up the AT-AT take pot shots at the stormtroopers on the ground as they will shoot at you as you circle the AT-AT.

As soon as the AT-AT is down fly over the barrier towards the second AT-AT. It is defending a shield generator. I recommend leaving the shield generator for the time being, but take out the two gun turrets and the AT-AT. Also see off any mobile gun turrets that are moving around.

The barrier will probably fall whilst you are defeating the second AT-AT. As soon as you have finished with the AT-AT you should proceed to the third AT-AT. You can find it by flying back to the barrier and taking the left turn just before it. You should endevour to destroy this AT-AT as soon as possible as your attacking skills are soon needed elsewhere.

Four groups of three mobile gun turrets will show up next. You should attempt to destory as many of these as possible, or at least distract their fire. Sometimes they can be difficult to destroy as they decend to the lower level.

Keep an ear out for a warning indicating the incoming Tie Bombers. The first warning you hear will mean the arrival to two pairs of Tie Bombers. They usually arrive too early to hit the AT-PTs on their first pass, but will fly down to the end of the valley and turn around. You need to destroy all of these fighters before they reach the AT-PTs otherwise the AT-PTs will be easily destoryed by the bombers.

Once you have destroyed these bombers another two pairs of Tie Bombers will show up. They will come from the area containing the buildings protected by the shield. You will only have a very short time to destroy these bombers as they will be able to drop bombs on their first pass. It can sometimes be easier if you do not destroy the last bomber from the first two pairs until the last possible moment, as this will delay the arrival of the new pairs and therefore give you a greater chance of killing them.

Down the valley there is another group of three mobile gun turrets. The Tie Bombers are more important than these, as the gun turrets are often taken care of by your wingmen. If however you get a chance then it can't hurt to take them out.

For the Gold medal you will have to ensure that all the AT-PTs reach safety. To do this you will have to destroy all the Tie Bombers before any of them get a chance to drop any bombs. You will also have to destroy all 12 of the mobile gun launchers from eariler in the game.

Once the AT-PTs have reached safety you will have to destroy the building that is protected by the shield. To do this fly back to the shield generator and take it out. Don't worry too much about the surrounding mobile gun turrets as the don't pose much of a threat.

Once the shield has gone fly back to the base. There are two missile launchers that pose a large threat, but once these have gone you are home dry.

The bonus for this level (Seeker Proton Torpedoes) is located on the top of the cliff just next to the research facility. It is protected by two gun turrets and is located inside the container.

Your main problem when attempting to get the Gold award is the time constraint. The speed of the AT-PTs is fixed so try and destroy as much stuff as you can whilst the AT-PTs are still heading for the rescue point. Don't forget that stormtroopers count as a kill. If you can clear the way for the AT-PTs quickly enough you should have time to get back and take out the shield generator and start attacking the research facility before the AT-PTs are rescued. Don't forget that you need to find time to collect the bonus.
