Mission 9: Rescue on Kessel

This level is fairly easy to complete but difficult it is difficult to get the higher medals.

Wedge can be found on the train and not in the convoy. If you are going for the Gold medal you will need to destory the convoy at some point. To get to the train just head straight forward from your starting point.

The first thing you should do it to try and disable the gun turrets and missile launchers on the train. You could shoot them with lasers but you risk damaging the passenger compartments. Use your ion cannons (secondary weapon) to disable the sections of the train. You should attempt to fly beneath the level of the train as the gun turrets will be unable to attack you.

As the train moves along it will pass some AT-STs, gun turrets and missile launchers. As always the missiles launchers are your main concern. If a missile is lauched at you use 'F' to close the S-Foils and you will be able to fly faster than the missiles.

You should disable enough of the train so that you here 'The train is slowing' over the radio before you start attacking the targets on the ground. This will give you much more time to destory enemies before the train gets too near to the station.

If you are going for the Gold medal you will need to destroy virtually every enemy. This includes the convoy which is situated in a valley near to your starting location. Watch out again for missile launchers and AT-STs. You need to keep any eye on the position of the train so that you can finish disabling it before it reaches the station.
