Force Commander is a real time strategy game, it starts just after the Imperials begin their search for the droids in A New Hope and ends after the Return of the Jedi. In the game you play as a commanding officer in the Rebel Alliance or in the Galactic Empire.

Deviating from the standard RTS game style of collecting resources to build new stuff, you will start each level with command points which you can use to buy stuff, you get more depending on your performance.

Force Commander will support LAN and Internet play, with up to 4 players at a time.

It is apparently on schedule for a release in the first quarter this year, but is has slipped back several times in the past so this is no guarentee.

Ronin Entertainment are assisting with the developement of Force Commander, they have previously collaberated with LucasArts on the development of X-Wing , Tie Fighter and several SNES games.
